Artist Bio:

Una Winn (She/Her)

Grew up in Wilmington, DE; currently lives in Sun Valley, ID.

Currently teaching at the Community School, Una works with children k-8th grade to explore their creative interest and teaches a range of mediums. In her own work she focuses on ceramics, bookmaking, print making and experiments with a variety of other mediums. She explores themes of femininity, story telling, and secrets within her body of work. Her senior thesis exhibition was titled Because of Sickness and explored the relationship between women inter-generationally and the symbolism of the objects we constantly consume. Her senior thesis writing was titled Merino Wool in America: Migration, Economic Desire and Patriotism, and revealed the role that textiles can play in American politics.
